Dr. John Hallgren is the co-founder and medical director of Mission Direct Primary Care in Omaha, NE. Dr. Hallgren is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been practicing family medicine since 1995. His personal mission has always been to nurture and protect the deep personal relationships between doctor and patient that lead to healthier people, families, and communities.
Dr. Hallgren spent 22 years practicing family medicine in the US Air Force as well as teaching and training future family physicians as faculty at two family medicine residency programs, including UNMC, and serving as the family medicine program director at Offutt Air Force Base.
After retiring from the Air Force in 2017, Dr. Hallgren committed to trailblazing a new path in serving his patients and personal mission by joining an established direct primary care practice in Colorado. Although he loved Colorado, after a little while he realized that eight years living in and graduating two sons from high school in Omaha, Nebraska was calling he and Elizabeth home. In the spring of 2019 the decision was made to return to Nebraska and declare Omaha home for the Hallgrens.
Dr. Hallgren looks forward to offering great medicine, close relationships, and transparent pricing and value as he and his wife, Elizabeth, work to grow Mission Direct Primary Care
